Microneedling offers a multitude of benefits for skincare enthusiasts seeking to rejuvenate and enhance the appearance of their skin. This minimally invasive procedure involves the use of a device equipped with fine needles that create tiny punctures in the skin's surface. These micro-injuries stimulate the skin's natural healing response, prompting the production of collagen and elastin, essential proteins responsible for skin firmness and elasticity. As a result, microneedling can improve the overall texture and tone of the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation.
Microneedling is a highly effective procedure for achieving a more youthful appearance by targeting multiple signs of aging. By creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin's surface, microneedling stimulates the body's natural collagen and elastin production processes. Collagen and elastin are essential proteins that contribute to skin firmness, elasticity, and overall youthfulness. As microneedling encourages the production of these proteins, it helps to plump up fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in smoother and more supple skin. Additionally, microneedling promotes skin cell turnover, which can improve skin tone, reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and age spots, and enhance overall skin texture. The rejuvenating effects of microneedling can lead to a fresher, more radiant complexion, ultimately helping individuals to look younger and more vibrant.
Microneedling is a versatile treatment that can address various skincare concerns effectively. Here are the top four things that microneedling can treat:
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Acne Scars
Hyperpigmentation
Uneven Skin Texture

Micro-needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) allows for a controlled process of the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro “injuries” in the skin, which triggers new collagen production. Micro-needling is utilized to treat the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, minor trauma scars, hypo/hyperpigmentation, and improving the skin’s overall appearance. To enhance results, micro-needling may be combined with the use of PRP, topical gels, creams, and/or serums to further aid in the overall appearance of the skin
Micro-needling treatment can take an hour-and-a-half, or more to complete. The exact time depends on the area that is being treated. This timeframe includes an additional 30 minutes for topical numbing to be applied prior to treatment.
While micro-needling can sound rather daunting, the needles that we use during the procedure are microscopic. The treatment can cause discomfort and has been said to feel like a vibrating cats tongue. Areas with deeper imperfections may cause more discomfort than areas with superficial imperfections. We ensure that our patients are comfortable throughout the entire procedure. A topical numbing agent is applied 30 minutes prior to Micro-needling to aid any discomfort during the procedure.
Generally, patients notice tightening, and a more even tone to their skin, a week or two after their first session. For areas with deeper imperfections, results can be subtler, and additional treatments are usually required. Since Micro-needling stimulates new collagen and elastin production, these results will continue to build for up to 6 months.
